How to Store Premium Cigars the Right Way

A premium cigar is an investment in craftsmanship, and proper storage ensures it remains fresh and enjoyable until you’re ready to smoke it.

The best place to store cigars is inside a humidor maintained at approximately 65–70% relative humidity and 65–70°F. This environment helps preserve the tobacco’s natural oils and prevents the wrapper from drying out or becoming overly moist.

If you don’t yet own a humidor, don’t worry. Small travel humidors and airtight containers with humidity packs can provide excellent short-term storage while you build your collection.

Avoid storing cigars in refrigerators or direct sunlight, as temperature fluctuations can damage both flavor and construction.

With proper care, premium cigars will continue to age gracefully, often becoming smoother and more complex over time.
